This past weekend the Seattle Warming Hut Hotties held another of their famous Back-to-Back training walk weekends. These are the pinnacle of our training for the 3day.

Happy Birthdays need to go out to Christy and Percy! It was one year ago today that Jer proposed to Christy! Happy Birthday and Engagement anniversary Christy!

It was really hot and muggy (for Seattle) here yesterday so after work Chris and I loaded the kayaks on the car and headed down to Lowman Beach for an evening of kayak fishing.

I mentioned a while back that I might make some stepping stones to put in one of our new front flower beds. Well I finally got around to it. So far I have made three of them.

Jeff, Sara, Ella and Sadie came to stay with us last Saturday night. We took them to Alki for some beach walking and Uncle Chris gave the girls some lessons of the sea.

Um, excuse me, where did the summer go? Just a minute ago I was complaining about the cold weather and then BAMN! it is August already. Where have I been and what have I been up to you ask?

It is raining in Seattle. Last summer I would have been sad to see a few days of rain. This summer however, all I can think is "Yay, I don't have to water my plants!!".

This past weekend Chris and I stayed with my Aunt Judy in Liberty Lake, WA. We were there for a Roberts (my dad's side) family reunion (more on that later).

At the beginning of the summer I posted some pictures of our somewhat remodeled backyard. This was before the warm weather and sun hit Seattle.

The weather has changed from sunny and happy to gray and sad. The weather people keep telling me it will burn off, but nope. I've been wearing a fleece jacket for the past two days.

Conversation overheard today at my fitness club (soon to be ex-fitness club!!!) by the front desk girl and a poor guy who had come in for a tour: Girl: I'm sorry, what did you say your name was?

Seriously. I want to take a survey of Seattle residents and ask one simple question. Did you realize that THIS BAN went into effect on July 1st?

I just gave Percy a bath. He'd gone outside and rolled in something downright nasty and I couldn't bring him in the house without a complete wash down so I picked him up and threw him in the tub.
